The Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) has concluded its four-city ‘Kingdom of Light Showcase’ roadshow across Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Chennai, reinforcing Morocco’s growing focus on the Indian outbound travel market.

The initiative brought together 14 Moroccan tourism stakeholders and over 300 travel trade professionals from across India, with the aim of promoting Morocco’s leisure tourism offerings and strengthening trade partnerships in the market.

The Delhi leg of the roadshow was attended by His Excellency Mohamed Maliki, Ambassador of His Majesty the King of Morocco to India, who highlighted the growing tourism ties between the two countries. He noted that tourism continues to play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations and underlined Morocco’s commitment to supporting the Indian travel trade with greater destination knowledge and engagement opportunities.

According to MNTO, Indian arrivals to Morocco have grown by 224 per cent since 2019. In 2025, Morocco welcomed 53,697 Indian visitors, marking a 31 per cent year-on-year increase. The tourism board stated that Indian travellers are increasingly exploring Morocco for curated leisure experiences that combine culture, heritage, luxury and adventure.

Jamal Kilito, Country Manager – India, MNTO, said India remains one of Morocco’s fastest-growing and strategically important source markets. He added that the roadshow was designed not only to build destination awareness but also to create long-term trade partnerships that can drive conversions and increase visitor numbers from India.

MNTO is targeting 75,000 Indian visitors in 2026 as part of its broader expansion strategy in the market. The tourism board also pointed to Morocco’s ongoing infrastructure development ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which the country will co-host, as a key factor in enhancing tourism readiness and connectivity.

The Moroccan National Tourism Office continues to focus on positioning Morocco as a leading destination for leisure, luxury and MICE travel through trade engagement, strategic partnerships and targeted marketing initiatives in India.
