Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism has unveiled its new AI Tourism Vision, a strategic initiative aimed at accelerating digital transformation across the tourism sector and positioning the Kingdom as a global leader in tourism innovation.

Announced in Riyadh, the vision seeks to enhance visitor experiences, improve operational efficiency, support investors and tourism businesses, and strengthen the sector’s contribution to the Kingdom’s economic diversification goals under Saudi Vision 2030.

A key component of the initiative is the launch of TourismX, a global platform dedicated to tourism-focused artificial intelligence. The beta version includes a range of AI-powered tools for tourism professionals, such as hotel design, tour planning, brand identity development and operational management solutions.

“We are leveraging AI to enhance the visitor experience, empower investors, and improve the productivity of operators and professionals across the sector. Our ambition is for Saudi Arabia to become the global benchmark for smart tourism.”

The Ministry also announced the beta launch of the Saudi MT App, an AI-powered platform that brings together services for investors, tourism businesses and tour guides, supported by an AI assistant named Noura. In addition, the new MT Developer Portal will provide APIs and digital integration tools to help developers build tourism-focused technology solutions.

The AI Tourism Vision builds on the UN Tourism General Assembly Riyadh Declaration on the Future of Tourism, which called for greater adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, across the global tourism industry.

According to the Ministry, the initiative forms part of the Kingdom’s wider Year of AI 2026 agenda and supports ongoing efforts to create a smarter, more efficient and sustainable tourism ecosystem as Saudi Arabia continues its rapid tourism expansion.
