The Wedding Association recently brought together leading wedding professionals for an evening of networking and education at The Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) in central London. Attended by around 60 guests, the event welcomed luxury wedding venue operators, planners, and suppliers from across London and beyond, creating an opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen industry connections, and discuss the importance of building exceptional teams to deliver outstanding weddings.

Hosted within the historic headquarters of The Honourable Artillery Company—a venue often undiscovered by those outside London—the evening showcased one of the capital’s unique event spaces while highlighting the value of collaboration within the wedding industry.

The event was supported by Marc Bates Photography, Kovtun Video, and Searcys Catering, whose contributions helped create a memorable guest experience.

One unexpected moment added a memorable twist to the programme. While the event schedule had been carefully planned to conclude before a nearby brass band performance, the musicians began earlier than anticipated. As a result, the closing moments of Lee Clubb-Sansom’s keynote address were accompanied by an impromptu performance of Offenbach’s Galop Infernal, creating an uplifting and unforgettable finale.

“One of the unique challenges of hosting an event on a summer evening in central London is accommodating everything happening around you. Although we had planned to finish before the nearby brass band performance, they started earlier than expected, and the final part of my keynote was accompanied by Offenbach’s Galop Infernal. It certainly made for a memorable ending and perfectly reflected the energy and spontaneity that live events can bring.”
