As global travel rebounds and booking timelines compress, travel advisors, MICE planners, and destination wedding specialists are under increasing pressure to secure competitive rates quickly while maintaining the personalised service their clients expect. The B2B hotel distribution landscape is evolving—and platforms that combine speed with trusted support are becoming essential.

Against this backdrop, Tamarind Global has officially launched TripStaq, a next-generation independent B2B hotel booking platform designed exclusively for the global travel trade. Currently open for early access, TripStaq already serves agents across more than 20 countries, offering faster access to competitive hotel deals worldwide.

In an interview, Louis D’Souza, Managing Director of Tamarind Global, outlined how the platform aims to reshape operational efficiency without losing the industry’s relationship-driven foundation.

Building Technology Around Relationships

“In a B2B sector built on high-touch relationships, TripStaq’s X-factor lies in human-centric automation,”  D’Souza explains. “We understand that travel professionals value trust, service, and personalised support—and we’ve built our platform to enhance, not replace, those relationships.”

TripStaq digitises repetitive processes such as multi-supplier sourcing and real-time rate comparisons, freeing advisors to focus on strategy, client care, and creative itinerary planning.

“Advanced workflows ensure accuracy and speed, while our dedicated support team ensures every booking—digital or blended—feels supported,” he adds.

For agencies looking to scale without sacrificing service quality, the platform aims to act as a bridge between relationship-based selling and modern booking efficiency.

Practical Relevance for MICE & Destination Weddings

While TripStaq is not positioned as a large-scale room-block contracting tool at this stage, its relevance for MICE and wedding planners lies in solving dynamic accommodation needs that arise around major events.

“TripStaq is designed as a highly efficient hotel booking platform for small group and ad-hoc requirements rather than large-scale room block contracting,”  D’Souza notes.

This includes scenarios such as pre- and post-event stays, VIP room allocations, family bookings, and overflow inventory, common pain points during multi-day conferences and destination weddings.

“TripStaq allows planners to book up to nine rooms per transaction with instant confirmation and competitive B2B rates, making it especially useful for fast-moving requirements,” he says.

Large contracted room blocks continue to be managed through Tamarind Global’s specialised teams.

“In essence, TripStaq complements, not replaces, traditional contracting by offering speed and flexibility where planners need it most,” Louis emphasises.

Market Rollout and Expansion Strategy

TripStaq has launched first in India’s B2B travel ecosystem, with early adoption exceeding expectations. The next phase targets high-growth outbound markets including North America, the UK, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

“Our strategy centres on strong partnerships with outbound travel agents, tour operators, and technology-driven distribution platforms,”  D’Souza says. “Through focused digital outreach, trade webinars, and participation in global travel shows, we aim to demonstrate practical efficiency gains.”

Short-term plans include localisation, structured training modules, and dedicated account-management support. Long-term, TripStaq aims to expand into transfers, excursions, flights, and curated tour packages.

“Our long-term vision is to evolve TripStaq into a comprehensive booking ecosystem that simplifies operations while strengthening relationships across the travel trade,” he concludes.

A Clear Signal for the Future of B2B Travel

TripStaq’s launch reflects a larger shift in the industry, from fragmented supplier searches toward intelligent, service-backed booking ecosystems. Backed by Tamarind Global’s operational credibility, the platform positions itself as a practical solution for travel advisors and planners navigating increasingly complex itineraries.

In an industry where relationships remain the cornerstone, TripStaq’s approach underscores a simple but powerful idea: the future of B2B travel will belong to platforms that combine technology with trust.
