The ICCA Middle East Summit 2026 held on 10 June at the Dead Sea, Jordan, under the theme “Resilient by Design: Leading Business Events Through Uncertainty,” not only brought together industry leaders to discuss the future of business events but also recognised outstanding achievements across the region.
A highlight of the summit was the presentation of four prestigious awards celebrating leadership, innovation, sustainability, and resilience within the meetings and tourism industry.
The Green Growth in Tourism Award was presented to the Jordan Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in recognition of its commitment to sustainable tourism development and its efforts to drive environmentally responsible growth across the sector.
The Future Exhibition District Leadership Award was awarded to Dubai World Trade Centre, acknowledging its visionary approach to developing world-class exhibition infrastructure and strengthening Dubai’s position as a global hub for business events.
The Resilience and Excellence in Business Events Award was presented to the Jordan Tourism Board for its exceptional leadership, adaptability, and continued commitment to advancing Jordan’s business events sector during challenging times.
The Innovation Leadership Award was awarded to Visit Qatar, recognizing its forward-thinking initiatives, creative strategies, and contributions to enhancing the visitor experience and elevating Qatar’s profile as a leading meetings and events destination.
These awards reflect the remarkable efforts of organizations across the Middle East that continue to shape a resilient, innovative, and sustainable future for the global business events industry.
