Bodrum, Turkey hosted a landmark destination wedding as Sameera Sabharwal and Nikhil Nanda celebrated their three-day wedding at Hyde Bodrum, curated by BAQAA, the Dubai-based luxury wedding and events company led by Rachna Chadha. With 450 guests in attendance, the event marked the first Indian destination wedding at the newly opened resort and was executed as a full property buyout.

With no dedicated event infrastructure in place, all venues across Hyde Bodrum were transformed through bespoke design and detailed planning. According to Chadha, every celebration space had to be conceptualised and built from scratch to accommodate the scale of the wedding.

“This wedding was a true act of faith and imagination. None of the spaces were designed for large-scale events, so every venue had to be created from the ground up.”

The wedding utilised multiple areas of the resort, including a custom-built beach platform extending into the Aegean Sea for the wedding ceremony, a raised pool deck for the Sangeet, and the garden, which was repurposed across multiple functions, including a Dolce Vita–inspired daytime event and an evening reception.

From a production perspective, Chadha described the project as one of BAQAA’s most complex turnkey executions, involving the fabrication of five large-scale venues, independent power, lighting and sound planning, and overnight venue transformations within a live resort environment. Hospitality, ground logistics and event execution were supported by Inventum Global, while the culinary programme was curated with The Kitchen Art Co (Dubai) and Hyde Bodrum.

The three-day celebration also featured a 60-page bespoke menu, executed through a rotating kitchen strategy involving 100 chefs, alongside the introduction of a 24-hour hospitality lounge at the resort’s French restaurant.

“Balancing luxury event execution with live hotel operations was one of the most technically demanding aspects of the project,” Chadha added.

The event positions Hyde Bodrum as a viable venue for large-scale international destination weddings while reinforcing BAQAA’s expertise in turnkey, destination-led luxury wedding execution.
