Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) reported another year of record tourism performance in 2025, with the Emirate welcoming 1.35 million overnight visitors, a 6% year-on-year increase, alongside a 12% rise in tourism revenues.

Phillipa Harrison, CEO of RAKTDA, said, “2025 has been a landmark year for Ras Al Khaimah. The emirate has grown not just in numbers, but in the depth and breadth of its offering – from signature events and new hotels to stronger global partnerships and steady growth in visitor arrivals”.

Tourism growth was driven by strong performance across key international source markets, including the CIS, India, China and Central and Eastern Europe. Visitor arrivals increased from India by 14%, China by 19%, the United Kingdom by 10%, and Russia by 20%. Expanded direct air connectivity also supported significant growth from Romania (+41%), Poland (+22%), Uzbekistan (+19%) and Belarus (+26%). High-value segments continued to outperform, with MICE and weddings revenues increasing by 25% during the year.

Ras Al Khaimah also continued to expand and diversify its hospitality portfolio in 2025. New hotel openings included Rove Al Marjan Island and SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, adding new beachfront and lifestyle-led offerings to the Emirate’s accommodation mix. At the same time, several international luxury hotel brands, including Janu, Four Seasons, Fairmont, Taj and NH Collection, announced new projects, supporting Ras Al Khaimah’s target to double hotel keys by 2030.

Development was further highlighted by Wynn Al Marjan Island, the UAE’s first integrated resort. The USD 5.1 billion project reached a major construction milestone in 2025, with its 70-storey tower topping out at 283 metres. Upon completion, the resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 food and beverage venues, a theatre, luxury retail and a marina, and is set to become the tallest structure in the Emirate.

Ras Al Khaimah unveiled Marjan Beach, described as the UAE’s most ambitious beachfront masterplan. Covering 85 million square feet, the development will include 12,000 hotel keys and 22,000 residential units, with 30% of the area allocated to open green space, reflecting a sustainability-led approach to urban development.
