New MICE opportunities in the Northern Emirates of the United Arab Emirates

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and Fujairah Adventures have partnered to launch the UAE’s first cross-emirate adventure experience, boosting the country’s appeal for experiential and incentive MICE travel.

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and Fujairah Adventures have joined forces to create the UAE’s first cross-emirate adventure experience, creating new opportunities for incentive and experiential MICE travel in the Northern Emirates.

Corporate travellers will be able to combine adventure activities such as hiking, ziplining, and mountain camping with cultural and nature-based experiences across two emirates. Brent Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer of RAKTDA, notes that the initiative goes beyond tourism expansion and said, “It’s about creating meaningful connections between landscapes, communities, and cultures”.

The timing of the partnership comes as the adventure tourism sector experiences rapid growth in the UAE and across the Middle East. From 2022 to 2025, adventure tourism has made strong contributions to the local economy, with projections estimating the sector will reach AED 30 million by 2030. Global trends show adventure travel growing at an annual rate of 10–15% over the next five years, with market studies suggesting it could account for up to 35% of the Middle East’s total tourism revenue by 2030.

With strong economic growth projections and increasing global demand for experiential travel, the partnership between Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah positions the UAE at the forefront of the region’s adventure and incentive travel market.
