Desert Rock Resort has become the first property in Saudi Arabia to receive Three MICHELIN Keys, the highest distinction in The MICHELIN Guide’s global hotel selection.
Announced on 20 September, the recognition places Desert Rock among just 155 hotels worldwide to hold Three MICHELIN Keys in 2026 and makes it one of only two properties in the GCC to receive the distinction.
The resort also received the 2026 MICHELIN Architecture & Design Award. Located within the Hijaz Mountains, Desert Rock was designed by Oppenheim Architecture with its villas, suites and shared spaces integrated into the surrounding granite landscape. The resort features 64 private-pool villas and suites.
Meanwhile, Shebara Resort, also operated by Red Sea Global Hospitality, retained its Two MICHELIN Keys. Located on a private island in the Al Wajh Lagoon, the resort features 73 private-pool villas, including its distinctive overwater villas.
