Phase 1 Events and Experiences organised an incentive tour to South Africa for 33 Asian Paints dealers from Fiji, combining business networking with experiences across some of the destination’s most iconic attractions.
The itinerary included Kruger National Park, Table Mountain and Hermanus Whale Watching, offering the group a mix of wildlife, nature and destination experiences.
One of the key challenges was managing visa applications for a group spanning seven nationalities — Fijian, Australian, Chinese, Samoan, New Zealand, Thai and Indian, with Indian travellers based in both Fiji and Sri Lanka. Each nationality, and in some cases country of residence, had different documentation requirements and processing timelines.
“Supporting the South African visa applications for a group of 33 travellers spanning seven nationalities was certainly the most challenging and interesting part of getting the group to South Africa. Each nationality, and in some cases each country of residence, came with its own requirements, documentation and timelines. We had to work through a lot of hoops, but we were able to manage every one of them,” said George Varghese, Head of MICE, Phase 1 Events and Experiences.
The successful execution underscored the importance of detailed planning, visa coordination and on-ground management in delivering seamless international incentive experiences for diverse groups.
