As Kuwait’s outbound MICE sector continues to gain momentum, planners are increasingly prioritising destinations that combine strong connectivity, quality infrastructure, and seamless execution with meaningful leisure experiences.

According to Eng. Saud Al Namshan, CEO of Al-Khaleej Travels, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye are among the destinations seeing the strongest interest from Kuwaiti groups.

“UAE, KSA, and Turkey are showing strong momentum, largely driven by the active role of tourism boards across the region.”

He added that accommodation preferences are also evolving, with clients increasingly seeking luxury hotels in central locations that allow delegates to experience the culture and lifestyle of each destination.

“Luxury hotels close to downtown areas are in high demand, giving delegates easier access to local culture and city experiences,” he noted.

Al Namshan also highlighted positive growth within Kuwait’s MICE sector itself, estimating an 8% increase compared to last year and projecting growth of between 10% and 15% over the next two to three years.

Meanwhile, Aqsa Aslam, Executive Secretary at Medhyaf Travel & Tourism, identified the Middle East, Europe, and the United States as the regions attracting the strongest demand from Kuwaiti corporate groups.

“Kuwait MICE clients are prioritising operational excellence, cost transparency, and flawless execution throughout their programmes. There is also growing demand for premium leisure and wellness components that complement business objectives.”

He noted that outbound planning has become increasingly strategic, with buyers placing greater emphasis on data-driven decision-making, clearly defined event objectives, and flexible supplier partnerships.

“Kuwait outbound MICE decisions are now more strategic and data-driven, with slightly longer lead times but high expectations for quick, flexible proposals,” he added.

As the market matures, Kuwaiti planners are demonstrating a clear preference for destinations that offer accessibility, reliability, cultural experiences, and measurable value. For destinations looking to attract Kuwaiti business in 2026 and beyond, the ability to deliver both operational efficiency and memorable delegate experiences will be key.
