BAQAA Weddings recently designed and delivered a bespoke Nikah celebration for Ata & Aman at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai, showcasing an overnight venue transformation that became the defining highlight of the wedding.
Following a high-energy Mehendi and Sangeet celebration that filled the ballroom with vibrant colours, music and entertainment until 2 a.m., the venue underwent a complete redesign in less than seven hours. By 9 a.m., the ballroom had been transformed into a serene setting for the couple’s Nikah, themed “Pristine Love.”
Conceptualised by Rachna Chadha, Founder, Industry Pioneer, Turnkey Designer and Planner at BAQAA Weddings, the design embraced a palette of ivory, champagne gold, blush pink and soft pastel tones. Champagne-gold organza draping, abundant jasmine, pastel florals, shimmering accents and warm lighting created an elegant atmosphere that reflected the couple’s vision of timeless simplicity.
Hosting approximately 350 guests, the transformation required months of planning and meticulous coordination between BAQAA’s design and production teams, Taj Exotica’s operations team, technical partners, florists, carpenters and installation crews.
The project also faced an unexpected operational challenge on the morning of the event when an issue involving key crew members threatened the tight installation schedule. Despite the setback, the team successfully completed the transformation on time, ensuring the ballroom was ready ahead of the Nikah ceremony.
“The biggest challenge was completely transforming the ballroom from a vibrant Mehendi and Sangeet celebration into a serene Nikah setting in just a few hours. Every detail had been meticulously planned, but when an unexpected issue arose early that morning, it became a true test of teamwork, preparation and resilience. Seeing the venue come together exactly as envisioned—and witnessing the couple and their families’ emotional reaction—made every challenge worthwhile.”

The celebration was captured by Pictroizzah, while wedding stationery and print collateral were designed by Bombay Lettering under the creative direction of Rachna Chadha. The bride wore Sabyasachi, with bridal styling by Aishaa, completing the refined aesthetic of the celebration.
