International MICE and special events operator Inventum Global has activated a strategic structure in Qatar as part of its long-term multi-destination growth strategy. The move follows the successful delivery of its first project in Vietnam and reflects a broader expansion philosophy centred on sustainable, quality-led growth rather than rapid geographic expansion.
Developed through a strategic collaboration with an established regional group, the Qatar structure has been designed as a long-term operational platform to support Inventum Global’s existing network while strengthening its effectiveness across the Middle East. In this interview, Co-founder Bunyat Ozpak outlines the thinking behind the expansion, the company’s disciplined growth model, and the evolving expectations of the Indian outbound market.
Partnership-Led Presence in Qatar
Ozpak notes that Inventum Global’s decision to activate a strong, partnership-based structure in Qatar reflects a long-standing growth philosophy rather than a market-specific tactical move.

“When entering a new destination, we do not consider opening a standalone office as a success criterion,” he explains. “Sustainable growth is defined by our ability to integrate the strongest local operational capabilities and service excellence with the Inventum Global standard.”
Rather than functioning as a conventional representation setup, the Qatar structure is built on carefully selected partnerships that combine strong local infrastructure and expertise with Inventum Global’s operational benchmarks. The focus is on alignment across response times, financial processes, service quality, and business culture to ensure consistency across destinations.
Expectations in Qatar remain exceptionally high, particularly across MICE and destination wedding segments that demand operational precision, speed, and reliability. In such projects, Ozpak emphasises that clients are not purchasing creativity alone, but certainty.
“A modern DMC is no longer merely a service provider; it is the assurance mechanism for operations, experience, and brand reputation within the destination,” he says.
Disciplined Multi-Destination Growth
Inventum Global’s expansion strategy prioritises consistency of quality over speed. A destination is considered ready only when core structural conditions — including airline connectivity, visa predictability, hotel inventory, venue diversity, supplier reliability, and operational stability — are firmly in place.
This disciplined framework has guided the company’s progression from Turkey and Egypt to Vietnam, and now Qatar. Looking ahead to 2026, several emerging destinations remain under evaluation across the Middle East, Europe, and Central Asia, including Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Greece, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Australia.
However, expansion will only occur where the company can sustainably deliver its service standards. “Growth is measured less by the number of countries added and more by the consistency of quality maintained,” Ozpak says. “Uncontrolled expansion weakens brands, while disciplined growth strengthens them.”
Indian Market Prioritises Operational Confidence
The rapid maturation of the Indian outbound MICE and wedding segment is also shaping strategy. Planners today are focused not only on exciting destinations but on operational security, transparency, speed, and seamless execution.
Key decision drivers now include strong flight connectivity, predictable visa processes, quality hotel infrastructure, diverse venues, and a reliable local partner capable of managing projects end-to-end. “Indian planners are purchasing trust, stability, and risk management alongside creativity,” Ozpak notes.
Drawing on its experience across Egypt, Vietnam, and Qatar, Inventum Global focuses on transforming destinations into fully execution-ready environments for the Indian market. The company positions itself not as a traditional DMC but as a “MICE operator” — reflecting a broader role in ensuring operational confidence across complex international programs.
