The Big Night Events successfully executed a three-day birthday celebration in Dubai in November 2024, delivering three distinct setups across a 3,700 sqm beachfront site under a compressed timeline.
“What truly set this project apart was the extraordinary scale of transformation we brought to a natural beachfront. Turning a one-year-old’s birthday into a two-day spectacle required us to rethink what an outdoor celebration could be and then push far beyond it,” shared spokesperson, Gauri Chadha, the Co-founder and Creative Director.
The project was confirmed on 14 November, with setup commencing on 17 November and continuing through 18 November, ahead of event days on 19 and 20 November. Working within a 150-meter safety perimeter, the team operated without a finalised blueprint until 48 hours before the event, requiring rapid coordination and onsite adaptability.

To enable construction in a dynamic coastal environment, the team reshaped the landscape itself, deploying 675 cubic metres of sand to form a temporary breakwater. More than 10,500 screws were installed on site to secure custom-built structures against shifting terrain and sea winds. Across the full 3,700 square metres, three independent decks were designed and constructed, each with its own purpose, flow and visual identity. More than 350 staff worked on site each day throughout the build and event period, supported by the installation of over 350 floral boxes across the three setups.

Production teams also managed several last-minute challenges, including tidal impact on the main stage hours before guest arrival, and final artist confirmations, with Arijit Singh secured 12 hours prior and additional performances by Guru Randhawa and Nora Fatehi.

“This wasn’t just a birthday; it was an immersive universe created from creativity, engineering, and heart,” shared the team.
Safety remained the top priority throughout the build and show days. Key learnings from the project emphasised preparedness, structured event flow, team briefings, rapid adaptation to changing conditions, and the importance of mutual support across departments.
